The Station: Test Drive

Welcome to the Station's Test Drive
Here, you will have the chance to try your character's voice out before apping them into the game. Feel free to play out in whatever means you would like - through the Station's communicators which are video and voice or either one alone, through action tags or prose, or whatever else you wish.
Please note that testing a character here does not guarantee that you have a reservation on that character. You may reserve a character HERE. Also note that this may be used as one of your samples for your application, though the mods may ask for more if what is provided is not considered sufficient. Finally, any thing played out on the test drive will not be considered character canon until after your character has woken up on the Station, as each character is given a unique scenario for their character's waking upon acceptance to the game.
Docking Bay - Fueling/Supply Area | Jack
Thinking better of saying aboard the vessel, Jack kept to the shadows of the ships in the docking bay. No one payed enough damn attention to anything besides their own ships so it was easy enough to slip into the first area she found.
Her nose told her that there was fuel in this place, though she hasn't come across anything besides what looked like panels for something. She didn't really give a shit about the rest of what was here - hiding out with fuel probably meant that people were less likely to dick around and find her, not to mention the added bonus of being able to torch the place if some asshole got a dumb idea.

But there are some mysteries that even the very model of a scientist Salarian couldn't let go. The Normandy had been docked in the Station briefly and then had vanished. Now that it was back, the reasonable assumption was that a fellow crewmate was there.
Even so, he wasn't going to take chances either. He crept quietly through the docking bay, omnitool in sleep mode and gripping his heavy pistol as he approached the familiar ship.

"Shit."
Hissing the swear under her breath, she changed course quickly. Stealth wasn't really her game, but she was good enough at ambushing to backtrack around the ship. Behind her soon-to-be dead assailant, she stayed in the shadow of the vessel.
"Move and you're dead, fucker!" She called from her hiding spot.
Familiar warmth ran over her skin as she primed her biotics, aura flaring blue and dull pleasure making her smirk.

"Jack. It's Mordin. We are on a Station in unknown space. No sign of Reapers, Cerberus. Haven't seen Shepard either."
That's a lie, but the Shepard he met wasn't his Shepard.
/flips a coin, you get Jack.
It might not help matters that the first person to come along is wearing what is clearly a military coat, rank insignia visible on the shoulders. Captain Jack Harkness misses that someone might be in the docking bay, in favor of staring at the ship that he knows wasn't there earlier. And yet, it's- familiar. Where has he seen this one before? He is completely distracted by the ship, not paying immediate attention to his surroundings.
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
"Who do you work for?" She barks, eyes flicking over his uniform.
"...Captain."
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
Oh, right, Jack's.He turns to face the woman, and his eyes go wide at the sheer power radiating off her form, literally. His hands very slowly go up, he knows when someone has gotten the drop on him this badly. And that was definitely a warning shot. "Work? No one. Kind of retired at the moment."
He wishes he could get to his comm, get a message out to Gryf. But, if his hand goes anywhere near a pocket, she will definitely- shoot? Do something bad to him, whatever it is he's looking at. He'll let her ask the questions, it might be a bad idea to let her know she's been pulled out of her home timeline when she's this angry.
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
Jack narrows her eyes when the man goes for his gun and grinds her teeth hard to keep from killing him. Focusing on the fact that she has him on the ropes does little for her bloodlust and she figures she's got one more question before she can do what she was made for.
His hands go up slowly and her smirk turns into a smile, feral and full of teeth. She appraises him for a moment, walking a small half circle. His lack of armor is a little surprising, so she guesses this his home ship.
"You know, retired or not, you can get fucked up without a way to defend yourself, Cap."
She shrugs a little, clearly enjoying the taunt. With her shaved head and plethora of tattoos, she wondered faintly what he thought of her.
I hope he's afraid.
"You look like you've got something to say. Don't fuck it up."
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
"There's no threat here, and no need for that," nods towards her hands. "None of us, nobody on board are prisoners, but I don't have the best answers for how you got here."
"I'm not armed, but you should really stand down before somebody else sees and gets the wrong idea." Jack isn't worried about himself getting hurt, but he's just waiting for Gryf to notice and the Station defenses to spring to life, and then, things will get seriously bad.
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
Her hands go to her head and for a moment a tremor runs through her body. She shakes her head as she processes what is happening around her before her 'training' begins to flood to the surface.
When she looks at him again, eyes hateful and snarling the captain realizes he is dealing with a whole new animal. Stalking up to him, she holds fast to the similarity to Shep she saw in his eyes.
Maybe I won't kill him before I get an answer.
"Who the hell are you and why the FUCK shouldn't I torch this pisshole?!"
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
"My name is Captain Jack Harkness. Ex-military rank, I'm not actually in charge here. And I'd recommend not torching the place because we are very far away from wherever you last were, and we're not sure how to get back yet."
Being open and straight-up about the situation, because even if she doesn't like his answers, she will like it less if he lies or holds anything back. He points to the Normandy without taking his eyes off her. "Did you appear on that ship?"
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
Looking up, she cants her head to towards the ship in affirmation.
"Jack. One of Shepard's fuckin' strays."
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
"I mean, that ship wasn't there earlier today. It just appeared, didn't fly in or dock or anything. And that's what has been happening to all of us." Nothing to hide, he is trying to look at Jack earnestly. She has to believe him, or she's going to fry him, and then, again, things get very bad. "We've just appeared on board, one by one. No way to get back home, yet. We're working on it."
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
She rolls her eyes and looks back at the Normandy. The idea of the ship without it's leader makes her feel small, alone and a million other things that make her want to flay flesh from bone. Folding her arms, she cocks an eyebrow at him and struts forward. Jack realizes she's close enough to grab him and makes an effort to keep her hands off his pretty neck.
"So, what now, Cap'n? What the fuck -" she drawls, her dark eyes flicking upward from his neck to meet his gaze. "- am I supposed to do with this bullshit?"
Re: /flips a coin, you get Jack.
"The rest of us have been trying to find a way home. And working on keeping this place from falling out of the sky before we find it. Another working ship, if you'd be willing to run her, would be incredibly helpful. This area of space, it's unlike anything anyone on board has seen before. And we can only learn so much from one spot."
It's almost an offer for Jack (Oh, of all the names to accidentally double-up on). The thought of being able to do some good here has been enough to keep some of the other problematic people on board going.
