The Station: Test Drive

Welcome to the Station's Test Drive
Here, you will have the chance to try your character's voice out before apping them into the game. Feel free to play out in whatever means you would like - through the Station's communicators which are video and voice or either one alone, through action tags or prose, or whatever else you wish.
Please note that testing a character here does not guarantee that you have a reservation on that character. You may reserve a character HERE. Also note that this may be used as one of your samples for your application, though the mods may ask for more if what is provided is not considered sufficient. Finally, any thing played out on the test drive will not be considered character canon until after your character has woken up on the Station, as each character is given a unique scenario for their character's waking upon acceptance to the game.

"Do you know where the rest of the crew is?" Book gestures to the Serenity. "Or how did we get here?" If they aren't captured, the other answers aren't necessarily good ones.

Yuna's face lit up. "This ship belongs to Inara." Jack had told her that but she subject of Inara was fragile. She knew that Inara was asleep but she didn't want to break open that wound for those who had known her. "She's gone for a little while though. Everyone hopes she will be back soon." Yuna's face lit up at the talk of hope.
Yuna walked around peeking into the inside of the ship. Even the inside looked similar. "Everyone on this space station was brought here against their will. We just woke up here with no memories to how we got here."

He tries to track what Yuna is saying, but he quickly gets confused again. "Wait, the Serenity, the other ships were abducted here?" So they are captured. "Where is everyone else on board, then? Captain Reynolds, Zoe, Wash, River?" But Book pauses, and looks at Yuna more seriously.
"Or, more importantly, what has happened to Inara?"
no subject
"I don't think anyone else from your crew is here." Yuna wished that Jack was here. He could explain. She didn't really understand her self. She watched Books expressions and wish that she could help.

"Everyone here, but the rest of the crew of Serenity isn't here? Has Inara been here before?"
no subject
"Also there are no starts outside, and the planet below is empty, possibly toxic. Jack thinks that something wiped out the civilization both on the planet then this station. We don't know what it was yet." She quickly added as she remembered what she had been told.

Book has to pause and stare at that sight for a while in shock. The other things that Yuna said are battering around in his head, there will be more questions in a bit. "It just looks...wrong..." His voice is a whisper.

"So, this...place, this galaxy? Never heard of the Alliance, or the Reavers? It's a place they've never been to?" That actually sounds really nice, if all the terrible things that make life so hard in his home world just don't even exist here.

Yuna walked around Book glancing out the window. She generally avoided them because of the pain it caused. "What is your world like? I'm afraid we don't have Alliance or Reavers on mine." Yuna paused before each name pronouncing them slowly to make sure she got it right.

Hmm. Pulled out of space and time, but Inara is here, and sick. Maybe...that's what has just happened again?

"I think this station needs something to look forward to that isn't just being stuck or confused." Yuna was energetic and happy to talk to Book. So much so she forgot why she had come into the hanger in the first place.
no subject
"Hmm, Station? So this is a full-on orbital space station, not just another ship? I've...been to a few space stations before." One of which, Book would very much like to forget. "About how many people are here?"
no subject
She looked at Serenity with longing. Just like The Gullwing she felt like her freedom was with these ships. They could be bound here forever. "So there is a difference between a station and a ship? No one has ever really explained that to me."
no subject
"Well, the basic difference is that a ship can travel through space, it has engines, designed to go places. A space station is supposed to stay in one place, usually orbiting a planet, but it doesn't go anywhere. They're usually used as refueling stations or trading posts, in my home." Book is pressing buttons while he is explaining to Yuna. This is more advanced than anything from Book's world, but it doesn't take him too long to find the map.
He blinks a few times, and frowns. "Fifteen people, taking care of a Station this big?"
no subject
"This is something from my world. I didn't show up with it but it showed up here. I think the station is trying to take care of us." She placed the grid back in her bag.
