09 August 2015 @ 06:53 pm
Welcome to the beginning of the end... or is it? That, my beloved players, will be up for you to decide.

Beginning tomorrow, August 10th, we will be moving into a massive plot post that will be the culmination of many of the last things that have occurred. This will be several months long, so don't panic! Every few weeks, give or take depending on the particular section of this chapter of the plot, we will have a new post with what is occurring next. There will be a new section below this OOC post with the OOC information for that particular plot step which will be put up before the next post goes live (so keep an eye on plurk!)

To try and summing it up: OOC info will go live on this post in a new comment, with all comments about that section sticking to that thread. Within a day or two of the OOC info going up, the next plot post will go live. This will be the plot post for a few weeks, then another OOC post will go live letting everyone know the next plot post will be coming soon.

If anyone isn't terribly keen on that idea, please let me know! I think this would work best given our slower pace as a game, giving some of the plot for everyone to work on and be a part of without spoiling everything at once, and we can play with time as necessary.

One very important note: due to the circumstances that will occur, any former Station player is allowed to join for this event. So if you know people who used to play and would like to join us for the 'big one' as far as plot goes, please let them know! I will let them know when they are able to join in by announcing it in the OOC info for that next plot section.

Please read below for the first plot info!

With the discovery, and the final death of the Being, several people now bear marks given by Her on their palms and stir with an unknown energy. Around the Station, the ghosts have slowly been getting more and more solid with each passing day, less ethereal, yet still operating on that same loop each day, still in silence, without any reaction from anything happening around them and able to be walked through. What does seem to be changing, on top of just how see-through they are, is the amount of them. There are more and more.

But even as it might start to get more awkward, as the ghosts are appearing in more people's rooms, it will be the people up at a ridiculous time of night that catch what happens first. Regardless, everyone will realize it all at once when the radiation warning system starts going off. That alarm that comes from their comms, warning them that something is happening all around them--

It'll happen all at once. The more scientific or time-sensitive among them might understand or feel it the most - something happens to the bubble that has kept them all relatively safe. Maybe it thins, maybe it pops and returns, but this isn't at all like the little leaks of the past. It will slam into every person on the Station, and some of them might not quite be the same….

In this event, your characters are all starting to feel the break down of everything the Being had in place to protect them. If you might remember, it was discovered in the past that the 'leaks' through the time bubble were what let in the necromorphs, or changed people into ponies, or deaged them… well now? It happened all at once, not just a leak. What happened thanks to that? We know that there are multiple universes, where things for each person might be very, very different in each. After all, how can Steve Rogers be both Captain America and Johnny Storm and Curtis Everett? How can the voice of Doctor Frank-N-Furter come out of a dozen different characters?

Anyone who wishes to be effected will find their characters have changed to that of another universe's version of them! It could be the same actor in another role, or if they're a video game or animated character, a different role the voice actor has done, or even just them from another universe! (After all, how many different versions of Dracula are there? Or the movie versus the comic book versus the video game?) Was there a choice in their canon that if they had made differently, they would have turned out a completely different person? (Say, if a certain rabbit lady hadn't chosen to leave the wood~?) Perhaps a regeneration happened too soon, or too late, and certain people are a bit ahead or behind in their own time line?

Oh, they'll remember being on the Station, they'll have been here as long as they have been, but of course… they'll be living the life of this person they've changed into and remember the history and past and emotions and the personality of who they are now! They won't forget having been on the Station, but their personality certainly will have changed…

Your character will realize that everyone else has changed, but when told they to have changed, it won't make any sense. They've been this way all this time, after all. They've always been this way! …Haven't they?

This is the important part! If you don't want to change, this is actually AWESOME. It's best if there's at least one or two people who want to stick to themselves - after all, they get to experience the insanity first hand. Gryf will remain as she is, so there will be definitely one person who isn't changing if no one else will.

This will begin on July 13th (Monday) and run until the end of the month! After which we will be beginning a major plot push! If you think this is the beginning of the end, you have no idea…. :3

Questions, as always, can be answered below, and plotting is also available below!

The Being gave a Gift to all of those who came to witness her existence within the now vanished Section 5 - all but three of those have been marked. The mark consists of a perfect white edge of a circle, almost like a scar, in the center of their palms, but what the mark symbolizes is a mystery. Each marked person feels something within them, and to look at the circle and focus on it produces a faint rainbow sheen that moves around the edge like oil on a puddle. That something within? Well, no one has looked too hard to find out.

Then, one morning (or so says the clocks), something strange appears in one of the corridors. It might seem like a play of light, or a figment of the imagination, but as one focuses on it, it seems to become something more real. The outlines of someone, something, walking down the hall. If it is followed, though? It becomes something more solid and while the face of the being is unable to be focused on, it has a somewhat humanoid body but it definitely has some sort of tail swaying back and forth. What might be the one thing that someone picks out above all else? It seems to be wearing a very, very familiar jumpsuit.

And then it vanishes, as if it didn't exist. A ghost. Then, the next day, it happens again... and it happens somewhere else as well. From an otherwise empty room, steps another ghost, then heads down the corridor. And then it happens somewhere else, and another place, and another...

With each passing day, it seems something else gets added and as time passes, the ghosts become more solid until they almost could be solid, yet they never quite get any more 'real' than that. They are impossible to touch and respond to no interaction at all as if the real people on the Station don't exist.

You may feel free to play your characters witnessing any typical day-to-day actions of the crew of the Station. The races will be Botharians for the majority, but any sort of species are able to be witnessed. If you remember the people that were there when the Station and Bothaious were attacked, more than just the crew were on board, so you may witness visitors as well. The ghosts will pause at doorways as if waiting for the doors to open, then walk through the closed doors. They will interact with things that are broken - if it is the lifts, they will vanish from where they would have gotten up on the lifts and reappear where they would have gotten off.

Walking through a ghost will not only send a chill down your spine, but for all players marked by the Being, Jack Harkness, and the two Doctors, they will feel a pulse within them (hands for the marked players, everywhere for the other three). The latter three will recognize the feeling of time displacement - and as the month continues, it will only get worse.

Things are starting to go wrong.

Good luck, players.

Love Always Leaves a Tally Mark

Basics:

Who: Everyone who has ever felt love, for anyone.
When: Starting October until ???
Summary: For every time love has touched a person's soul, it leaves a mark. So what if those marks were visible to everyone?

Details:

There it is again, that feeling of something happening across the Station. The sensors go off - the ones outside of the Station signalling first (oddly, very specifically over Section 2, almost over Section 1) followed by the internal ones - alerting everyone's comms.

Yet... at first, nothing seems to have happened. No one is a pony, no new comms on the map. So what is going on? People who are wearing short sleeves (or no sleeves at all) will be the first to figure it out, as soon as they look on their wrists.

There, across the skin, visible through glamours and furs, are marks. Tally marks, to be specific. They might be black like a permanent marker, crimson like a scratch, white of an old scar, or even worse, an open slice. They're in neat rows with a slash across for every five, just like tally marks on a page.

...What are they?

The marks of love. For every time you have loved, there is a tally. Family love, romantic love, old loves, current loves... but how do you know? Because when you touch your fingertips over a mark, there's something very subtle that reminds you of that person. Maybe it's a faint whiff of their perfume, but when you breathe in again, you smell nothing. A breath of their laughter, but when you stop to listen, you hear nothing. A glimpse of their eyes in your mind's eyes, but then it drifts away.

...But why are the tally marks different?

Because they stand for different things.

Black: A past love. One that you have loved and it is in your past. You both went on your own ways, or you haven't spoken to a family member you were once very close to and the love has faded.
Red: A current love. Someone you currently love, close bonds. Someone you deeply love. Anyone could fall into this category - and it will not fall into the next category if you don't know if they love you, yet.
Open: A love that was never returned. Not a crush, nothing so simple. Someone you truly felt love for that wasn't returned. A family member or a partner or someone who never even knew you loved them could easily be this.
Scar: A dead love. The person who you loved has died. Again, family or partner.

...Will they come off?

Nope. ...Well, not all of them. There is one way to remove... most of them. Attempting to slice them off, burn them off, etc, will only result in them returning over now-scarred skin.

...Can the open ones become--

Staving that off. The open ones don't become infected, they don't bleed, and strangely enough, don't even seem to get dirty.

...Can the marks change?

Oh, they certainly can. A black mark could turn into a scar if somewhere back home, a loved one has passed on. You will gain a red mark if you fall in love with someone now.

...Can other people see them?

They certainly can.

Event #12 - The Past When We Awaken

Date Start: August 14th
Date End: September 14th
Players Involved: ALL. There are no opt outs for this event like our past ones. All players will be brought into this event.
Basic Concept: Several players decided to mess with things that they didn't understand. These are the results.

INTRO:

With the puncture of the bubble around the Station, they have unfortunately started a series of events that the bubble had prevented. There will be a massive register on ALL sensors, of any sort that have been put in play, and everyone will feel a sickening sensation in the pit of their stomachs, except for Smith who will feel all of his sensors go into a blaze of code that will overwhelm him. The sensation will get worse until everyone blacks out. Our time travelers might feel something familiar in this - the time energy is suddenly in the Station in a way it hasn't been before, maybe they haven't felt before. It's twisting, turning, reversing, and encompassing you all.

Blackness.

When everyone wakes, they are definitely... not on the Station. In fact, it might take a minute for them to recognize where they are. Only people who have been in the Botharian cities will recognize where they are which is in fact, down on the planet. Except... it's beautiful. This city is gleaming and incredible, filled with light and technology and people. In fact, the vast majority of what they see out there are frog-like people, in different sizes and colors, but all bipedal with strong, thick legs, smaller weaker arms, webbed feet and arms. They are jumping in and swimming down the canals that seem like streets, and out in the vast distance is the swamp that some of you have seen. But now? The air is sweet and clean. There's music everywhere.

The Botharians are the source of it. They produce tones, ripples of music, songs... it's clear that's their language. Kale, you will recognize this as the music that's been in your head all this time. Those who saw the skeletons of the Botharians will recognize them.

The most incredible thing of all? Is if you go outside, it is nighttime. You'll see thousands and thousands of stars up in the sky. Jack, and anyone he has shared the star charts Gryf gave him, will recognize this as a match to those charts. In fact, they'll be able to see the Station up there as well and the multiple moons of the world.

Additional: If you approach any Botharian, you may very well be surprised to discover that they will speak your language. Any language you speak to them. It will be both understood and spoke in return, all with a rather musical accent.

INFO:

This is what you'll have, for now. There are several very nice people who have offered to be NPCs and they will be out there once we start this, though not immediately. Please keep an eye out for their tags or open posts.

Also please keep an eye out for mod tags. I will be coming into threads to be able to offer descriptions and sometimes, NPCs. :3 PLEASE - feel free to just go have fun! The players have returned to the past and now are on Botharius before everything went wrong. You can feel free to wake up anywhere you'd like your characters to do so. You can feel free to make things up as you go along. This world is free for you to enjoy and make things happen, to learn about what happened, learn about the race, the world, etc! Feel free to use this OOC post to ask questions, or shoot a plurk to me.

I will be putting up a post on the evening of the 14th and we will be rocking for a month of time. As usual, please keep the event tags contained to the event post!

14 July 2014 @ 12:05 am
Comms open up with an alert that none of you have heard before. It forces the line open to all comms, and even for those who are away from their comms, nearby built-in comms to the Station repeat the sound as well. After it stops, Gryf speaks.

"Everyone is required to meet in the lounge that is now marked on your comm's map. Now. I mean right now. And By Earth I will make sure you go if necessary. This is important -- way more than important. Things need to be discussed about what recently happened here and-"

There's a pause, a quietly audible swallow. It's clear what she says next isn't quite what she meant "-and we need to find out what we need to do to go forward here at the Station.

I expect everyone there in the next ten minutes, regardless of what you're doing. Move it." For many of you, it's the first time you've heard Gryf actually sound like the woman in charge she claims to be.

When you come into the lounge, it's one of the larger ones among the personal quarters. Gryf is sitting back on one of the couches, looking anxious as people file in. There are low couches, pillows, and other things as this is clearly meant as a place to gather and relax.

02 March 2014 @ 09:24 pm
Hello everyone! So, here is the basics of the end of this event!

When the players wake up, in fact twenty-four hours has passed. Your character is lying where they fell, probably very hungry, dehydrated, and either feeling one of three things:

If you spent the entire time in the dream world, your character feels incredible minus wanting breakfast very badly.

If you spent the entire time in the nightmare worlds, your character feels like hell. Headache, kind of like a hang over.

If you went between the worlds, like an okay night of sleep along with the hunger and dehydrated.

The sand is all gone from the Station, along with the spirits that brought it. Though, you very well may spot Sandy in your dreams, as he wants to repay those who had to suffer nightmares... :3

Hello Stationers! (Stationites? Which are we? Stationers doesn't come up as spelled wrong XD)

So! Here a little background info on how our last event played out:

I had a chart of the levels of egg, which was:
  • EGG DOES NOT RETURN

  • Egg is dark and still

  • Egg only slowly sways side to side

  • (START!) Lightly glowing, lightly bouncy egg

  • Egg is glowing brightly, bouncing is a bit more rapid

  • Egg bounces happily and has a small music note as if it is 'singing'

  • Egg has a crack in it, as if hatching!

  • Egg's crack has become a little bigger!

  • The egg sits still in the background with its shell open and a small box that reads "Choose a number between 1 and 1500."

  • Repeating gif of the egg opening with the number 'XXXX' hovering

To make it progress towards hatching, all a player had to do was fuss with the egg and NOT send it off the screen. That was it. If you didn't play with it, or sent it off screen, it went back one level. Once it hit 'not return', you were out of the event.

Once it began to hatch, your character had to walk around and check on the egg each day. If you didn't walk, you didn't progress forward! That's why some of you sat on one level of it for a while! Hence my hints were 'GET OUT AND TALK TO SOMEONE'! ^_^

You could 'skip' stages by sending your egg across the network and having another character interact with your egg without sending it off screen. However, once it got to the hatching stage, that no longer could skip you a stage unless you tagged a great deal of 'walking' in one day's actions between several threads.

The noise each egg made was its distinctive Pokemon call! ^_^

One player got what this event was about early through paying attention to Gryf's comment about when she tried to hatch her egg early and received a glitch! Kudos to them!

Pokemon were determined pretty simply: there are 718 Pokemon not including mega evolutions. I didn't want to outright say pick between 1 and 1436 because well, OBVIOUS. So if anyone picked above 1436 I was going to subtract 64 then divide by 2. Anything over 718 got divided by two. Anything that landed in the 'new' pokemon, because many people have not played those games, I divided again by 2. (Hence Jack's pokemon) - If Jack had just left the 0 off, he would have gotten a dinosaur AND a pterodactyl!

You then got the lowest level evolution of the Pokemon you picked. XD

Gryf's number is related to myself but I won't say how (some of you who know me will know XD) while Bruce's number is the unofficial birthday of his Momma.

That's everything! Please let me know what you thought of this event! ^_^ It was quite a busy one for me, and I apologize if I missed something along the way but it seems those who were playing for a good ending got it. I hope the reward was enough but everyone seems to have gotten some good CR out of it!

Every Player in the Station Must Respond to This Post

I hope that makes it very clear, my fellow Stationers! This post will be screened so only the mod is able to view - please do not say which number you signed up for!. Really, come on guys, you'll ruin your own fun. ^_^

For each character you have in the Station, you must respond with either a '1' or a '2' for them. You may post from any journal, multiple chars in a post, but you must let me know for each character which of these numbers you have chosen.

The significance of the number will come obviously into play when the event OOC info goes up on the 1st. The event will begin February 7th!

I will not post the OOC info without every character being accounted for! This includes if you are currently on hiatus and will be returning during February!

21 January 2014 @ 06:41 pm
Hello Players of the Station! ^_^

This is the Event Info for our next event which will begin January 22th and last until January 31st - the event is called "The Eggs".

On the morning of the 22nd, every character on the Station will find a small icon on their comm in the shape of an egg. It is animated, gently pulsing and bouncing a bit, but that is all.

What your character chooses to do at this point will effect the outcome of the event for you. In fact, that will be true for each step of the event. There is a prescribed series of steps pre-written that must occur for the 'best' outcome. How far your character makes it along that series of steps is what they will end up with.

Each morning, I will post what is occurring to each character's icon and how it has changed, if at all. It will be in a comment below this post. Please do not comment on that day's comment until I have posted the day's results.

FAQ, sort of:
  • Not all characters will end up with something awesome from this event - this is entirely on what you guys actually chose to do.
  • This is a bit of a test event to see how an event where not all players are rewarded if they chose to slack off/not check in/not talk with each other. I trust you guys to be able to handle this and after the event, I'll be posting a "How Did This Event Go?" post where you can tell me how you liked it/hated it/indifferent.
  • This will NOT go past the end date. What you've done by that end date? That's what you've done. There will be one final 'day' post that will be the wrap ups people do and continue from there outside of the event.
  • It is possible to 'catch up'. Some people will have completed the steps ahead of time and others might be done to the last day. You'll know if you need to catch up.
  • The steps will not be public. However, it will be clear by the changes if you are doing something right or something wrong.
  • Each step is fairly simple but some steps must happen by your character doing something all day long. :3

Please post questions in reply to this comment below!

10 January 2014 @ 10:22 pm
This is simple! This is a regain event! You do not need to talk to Gryf to get your item. (You'll have to forgive me, I am dying in tags lately so I honestly just cannot tag with every one of you.) Please feel free to tag with each other - Gryf will let you back to the crates. No one can open any other person's crate. Gryf specifically mentioned several characters who had been here through the first time this happened, perhaps you could ask them about it? :3

Please read here! Each crate will have an item from your character's home world. It may be something personal, useless, useful... whatever you would like. However, if you allow the mod to pick your item, it will undoubtedly be character building. (I will do my best!) So please comment below if you would like the mod to pick your item. Otherwise, I will assume you are picking it yourself.

Thanks everyone! ^_^

Hey everyone! The chibis are gone from the Station as of today - everyone will wake as their normal selves. So, time for a bit of info for the next event as it is QUITE the big event, so we are posting the information early for this one. I believe you will all be quite excited. :3

Information below the cut! )

04 June 2013 @ 07:42 pm
Our next event will be on the 15th of this month! Below the cut is the event information so people can look at it as they desire, but we NEED a decision from people before the event!

Event Info Below The Cut! )

REQUIRED ANSWERING:

Do people prefer events kept to a single post, or just as many posts as people want to make, or perhaps a third option of one post for an event per person? There will be some regulations on either of the last two so that your poor mod is capable of handling this game. XD

Here is all the info you need on the 4th Wall Event:

1) There will be ONE. POST. One post that all of our outside and inside people can tag about in, with the premise and how it comes to be. People not in our game stay in this post.
2) It will last for one week. (Of course back tagging for however long is fine.)
3) No one needs to submit an app or do anything at all to be part of the event. They just tag right in.
4) They WILL be required to follow our rules. If I see someone being abusive or not following the event rules or stalking or any of that other crap, I will warn them once, then I'll ban them from the comm.
5) Apps open on the 25th so people who enjoy the event can app in!
6) If someone is trolling the comm, let me know via PM or Plurk and I will deal with them.
7) Everything that happens during this event happens IC. No memory loss, no time warp, just as normal.

Any other questions? Let me know.

13 March 2013 @ 09:18 pm
This Event Begins March 15th and runs to the end of the month.

It seems, with a strange new object brought on board, that something has gone terribly, terribly wrong...

This is a very different kind of event to the last one's we've had. You may 'opt out' but it will be in a somewhat unconventional way because how wide-scale this event is. As this is a HORROR EVENT, be prepared to have your characters possibly suffer greatly, both mentally and physically, or even have your characters die. Please remember that death is NOT permenant in our game, due to reasons that will eventually be discovered, but it will take the loss of a memory from your character.

Below in the comments, we ask that anything you would NOT wish to have done to your character be written out so that we mods know what we can and cannot do. This is drama/horror/death based, but nothing sexual will be done what so ever, so you don't need to worry about that. If you tell us we are allowed to go hog-wild, we will do so.

BELOW IN THE COMMENTS:, write 1) if you are opting out 2) any restrictions you wish 3) On a scale of 1 to 5, how much you'd like the mods to mess with your character.

Players will be able to take control of the enemy as they wish in their threads, but mods will occassionally come into threads to take control. There will be no master event IC post like the past events - everyone is encouraged to start their own thread with whatever they were doing and how they get involved.

Do not involve players who opt out. We will have a special way of handling that - they will be safely (accidentally) locked into a 'clean' section of the station to do as they wish until the event is over.

-----------------------------

Something has definitely gone wrong on the Station.

It happens slowly at first, but the Power is going haywire in certain areas. The first to fall is the Medical Bay. Then the lights going out into the Central Hub. Bit by bit.

Then come the sounds. Like nails on metal, dragging in the vents, through the ceiling. Gone so fast, by the time someone looks, turns around, it's gone.

The light goes out.

The attack comes with an inhuman scream.

Run.

-----------------------------

The Station is infested with Necromorphs. Fast, deadly creatures that will rip anything living they come apart. They move through the vents, the ceiling shafts, the lift shafts, anywhere they can get without taking the larger halls. They'll drop down into anywhere they can. They are utter, inhuman monsters.

Worse, the object brought onto the Station by our Dead Ship explorers? The longer it remains, the stronger its effect becomes. The effect? It will whisper into the minds of the living around it. It wants to expand itself. It wants to find more minds to feed on. It will turn your fears into reality before your eyes.

(For an example, watch this vid. Shouldn't be a big spoiler but I warn you it IS gruesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54TJVRR9cIM )

The dead seem return to life, and when they can't gently sweet talk you into taking your own life? They'll force it. Except it's all a lie, it lies all in your mind, thanks to the Marker.

Good luck, players.

02 March 2013 @ 03:40 pm
The end of Game Event #2 is happening - so here is the basic summary of what happens:

Your character blacks out, collapsing where they had been standing, and when they wake they've changed back. Feel free to have them nude if you so desire for the lawls, or in the clothing they were wearing when they first changed. There is also a decided tingling feeling across their skin for the next several minutes after they wake.

22 February 2013 @ 07:03 pm
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PARTICIPATE. You may chose to stay as you are and react to what's happened! If you chose to participate, read "Event Participant:" below. If not, read "Event Watcher:" below.

Event Participant: Your character suddenly wakes up - no headache, no concussion, just wakes up - and they have changed into, yes you can kill us later, ponies from My Little Pony. We're allowing everyone to become ponies/pegasus/alicorns/unicorns. If you have another race you're thinking of from the show, we may allow it but PM us or leave a comment here. You will also find that ALL devices, down to the TARDIS and the Station itself, have had their sensors wiped clean from the last 24 hours. They are now running as if nothing happened. This is a Pony Creator! here for everyone to use to make a pony version of their character! (Also SHIT TONS of pics online if you have a more main-stream char!) Feel free to post a pic of your char as they are now below!

Event Watcher: Your character suddenly wakes up - no headache, no concussion, just wakes up. You really, really don't feel well. In fact, you know how one feels when they're about to come down with the flu? Achey but not sick yet? That's how you feel. You won't get sick, but your very bones are achey. ...oh and everyone around you is a pony. Wha? You will also find that ALL devices, down to the TARDIS and the Station itself, have had their sensors wiped clean from the last 24 hours. They are now running as if nothing happened.

This event will last for a week. After a week of time, your characters will have the same thing happen in reverse - you will suddenly wake up and find yourself normal again - unless someone manages to find a way to reverse it previous to that. And it'd have to be good to convince us mods to reverse it! XD

P.S. - If we find a week is too short and people are having fun with this, we'll extend it. If you don't want to participate and find yourself without something to do, hit up a mod - trust us, there's things to do.

This is for GAME EVENT #1. This is for any OOC questions, further OOC instructions, and planning out whatever you'd like to do with other players.

IC Post

Basic OOC Information: It seems items are showing up on the Station in the care of Gryf, but what will characters be willing to do to earn them back? Feel free to post in the main IC post coming to meet Gryf and find out what the price may be. Much of this will be in YOUR hands and this will be your first taste of how missions will be given out on the Station. Also, every player has a chance to earn something important TO THEM. Might mean nothing to anyone else... :3

ALSO NOTE: We now have a plurk SPECIFICALLY for Station Updates. Please go add it! http://www.plurk.com/stationmods

Here is the 'item/crate' info: Basically, if you have a particular item you would like inside of your character's box, LET US KNOW. PM us, Private Plurk, whatever. If you would like the MODS to decide, don't say anything to us. We have items picked out for a majority of characters and we have discussed the items with some players who we needed to discuss with.
