The Station: Test Drive

Welcome to the Station's Test Drive
Here, you will have the chance to try your character's voice out before apping them into the game. Feel free to play out in whatever means you would like - through the Station's communicators which are video and voice or either one alone, through action tags or prose, or whatever else you wish.
Please note that testing a character here does not guarantee that you have a reservation on that character. You may reserve a character HERE. Also note that this may be used as one of your samples for your application, though the mods may ask for more if what is provided is not considered sufficient. Finally, any thing played out on the test drive will not be considered character canon until after your character has woken up on the Station, as each character is given a unique scenario for their character's waking upon acceptance to the game.

She turned back to the replicator. "It's sort of an everything machine. You just say what you want, and it'll make it--um, where are you from, Junior?" she added, remembering about the Prime Directives.

"Me? The Kukai Foundation. Although I guess I spend most of my time on the Durandal." He peered over at the replicator. "So it's voice-activated, huh? I'd like a... hmm. Grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup!"
If he'd been hoping to trip up the machine, however, it didn't work. His request appeared just as ordered. "Man, I know they're coming up with new applications for transport technology all the time, but I've never heard of a prototype that can cook for you."

Still, it was somewhat of a relief to hear him mention the words transporter technology. "Yeah, it's actually really common where I'm from, more common than actual cooking. Way better than the old food synthesizers they used to have." Which was actually Curzon's memory, but you never forgot the polymerized taste of those primary-color food blocks.

He gave her a searching look. "By the way, is something wrong? You look kinda worried." Granted, there were plenty of things here to be worried about here, but it was almost like that lip-biting thing was directed at him. And that didn't feel too great.

She chuckled a little awkwardly at his question, though. "I'm kind of obvious, huh? I guess the short answer is that I don't know how I got here, so I'm pretty sure I've either been taken to a different part of the galaxy or a different part of the timeline, and in either case it's going to be a real pain in the neck trying to get back, which I will probably have to violate Federation law to accomplish."
Although... that answer hadn't exactly been short. Oh well.

"Oh, so you are from the Federation. Gotcha. Well, you know what they say -- you can't make an omelet without breaking a couple eggs. Besides, if they never find out what you did to get back, then you can't get into hot water with the higher-ups. Right?" Yep. It was all about creative interpretation of the law.

She frowned. "Of course, I have to find out how to get back first, and I expect you want to get back where you came from too, right?"
no subject
, and you'll pry them from his cold dead fingers."Well, if they're that great at figuring out time travel stuff, maybe they can help you back to your time. Even if you do end up getting in trouble for it."
He opened his palms in a gesture of surrender. "We don't have anything like that that I know of... emphasis on that last bit. So I think I might be on my own. But if there's a way to get here, there's gotta be a way to get back, right? Although I admit it'd be a lot easier getting back with some Observational Realians to do the analysis."
He missed his bridge crew.
