The Station: Test Drive

Welcome to the Station's Test Drive
Here, you will have the chance to try your character's voice out before apping them into the game. Feel free to play out in whatever means you would like - through the Station's communicators which are video and voice or either one alone, through action tags or prose, or whatever else you wish.
Please note that testing a character here does not guarantee that you have a reservation on that character. You may reserve a character HERE. Also note that this may be used as one of your samples for your application, though the mods may ask for more if what is provided is not considered sufficient. Finally, any thing played out on the test drive will not be considered character canon until after your character has woken up on the Station, as each character is given a unique scenario for their character's waking upon acceptance to the game.

For now, he was going to play nice...until given reason. He had so many questions to ask and hopefully he would get answers along the way.

Worf looked over his shoulder to toss a glare at whoever was interrupting him, only to blink in surprise. Almost recognition. It couldn't be...?
But the uniform and the pips. That accent. The face. He straightened away from the work station and turned, standing briefly at attention in deference to the senior officer uniform alone before relaxing somewhat.
"My...apologies, Commander." Words he hated saying, but served to placate those unused to his mannerisms.

"Let's see what the issue is before we make it worse." He then opened up the panel, signaled for Worf to step back as he stepped back and waited for the sparks to die down before taking a closer look. The sparks diffidently weren't a good sign. Some wires probably were going to need to be replaced. He only hoped it was something minor to fix.

"Of course, sir." He really hoped it could be easily fixed, but the how was the issue. He studied what he could of the wires, hoping that he could offer suggestions. But this wasn't the Enterprise.

As Chekov talked he explained what was going on showing him the various wires. He then untangled the ones that were crossed as well. He noted how well that the Klingon officer was behaving, which also helped put him more at ease. He also figuring sharing the information as well would help smooth things over.
"I can replace this wire for you now, or I can do this after you get the tasks you were hoping to accomplish completed. If you could satisfy my own curiosity as well, I would like to know more about your story."

"It's better to replace it now. It's not that time sensitive," he'd just wanted to get it done. Before he'd found how finicky it was.
He hesitated though at the request for his story. But it wasn't the first time two Enterprise crews had met across time. "I was found after an attack on a Klingon outpost and taken in by humans. I am the first Klingon to serve in Starfleet, I've been serving on the Enterprise-D for the last few years." Short, concise, and giving what he felt needed to be said out of the way.

He really meant the words too. There was always tension between the two races and hearing of this story showed that over time the two were able to learn to put aside their differences. At the mention of the enterprise there was a brief moment of sorrow that flickered through his expression. He missed the U.S.S. Enterprise and the Reliant.
"Let me go get the equipment to fix the wire and it shouldn't take too long."
no subject
A flash of sorrow he can understand, but he doesn't comment. He nodded curtly. "Lead the way. I should learn more of where things are here."
no subject
"Aye, I am Commander Chekov and I'll be more then happy to show you were the equipment is kept. I'll answer what ever questions you have to my best ability. I've only recently arrived to this station about a few weeks ago."
As he spoke he led the Starfleet officer through various corridors until he got to where the equipment was. He also took the time to point out where things were.

So he was right. A younger man than the one he'd met. Worf followed, continuing to listen and observe anything Chekov had to say, appreciating the direction. Then set about asking questions of his own. How things really worked. What was actually expected of them. That kind of thing.

Chekov was appreciative of the fact that they finally had another Starfleet officer aboard the Station. He was also curious to see how much had advanced since his time.
Once, he got the supplies needed he then returned back to the consul panel and set about repairing the damaged wire.
