Player Plot - The Trip After The End
Title: Player Plot - The Trip After The End

Summary: A huge group goes down to Bothaious after they get settled from everything they learned in the past about the planet and its people. Not only do they find what has taken over the city since then, but they find three new people down in the swampy depths.

So! We're all about to push the irreversible 'go' button that sends us all back in time so that we can hopefully rescue Col and Nevii and then all the Botharians after that! Form groups of twos or threes, so that our lovely mod can figure out who is going where and has an idea of who is going to run into what. The point of this post is to form groups so that everybody can go ahead and start with threads. This is also a great place to ask OOC questions, and assume your character has gotten as much of an IC debriefing about some things, even if we forgot to mention it in character.

Sure, in the thread, Jack had some idea over how this was going to go, but please, everybody jump in, feel free to ignore any previous ideas, and make this your own. We are still going to enter by landing the TARDIS in Section 1, and having Celena make a portal to let us into the Station corridors. After that? Up to us.

Welcome to the beginning of the end... or is it? That, my beloved players, will be up for you to decide.

Beginning tomorrow, August 10th, we will be moving into a massive plot post that will be the culmination of many of the last things that have occurred. This will be several months long, so don't panic! Every few weeks, give or take depending on the particular section of this chapter of the plot, we will have a new post with what is occurring next. There will be a new section below this OOC post with the OOC information for that particular plot step which will be put up before the next post goes live (so keep an eye on plurk!)

To try and summing it up: OOC info will go live on this post in a new comment, with all comments about that section sticking to that thread. Within a day or two of the OOC info going up, the next plot post will go live. This will be the plot post for a few weeks, then another OOC post will go live letting everyone know the next plot post will be coming soon.

If anyone isn't terribly keen on that idea, please let me know! I think this would work best given our slower pace as a game, giving some of the plot for everyone to work on and be a part of without spoiling everything at once, and we can play with time as necessary.

One very important note: due to the circumstances that will occur, any former Station player is allowed to join for this event. So if you know people who used to play and would like to join us for the 'big one' as far as plot goes, please let them know! I will let them know when they are able to join in by announcing it in the OOC info for that next plot section.

Please read below for the first plot info!

With the discovery, and the final death of the Being, several people now bear marks given by Her on their palms and stir with an unknown energy. Around the Station, the ghosts have slowly been getting more and more solid with each passing day, less ethereal, yet still operating on that same loop each day, still in silence, without any reaction from anything happening around them and able to be walked through. What does seem to be changing, on top of just how see-through they are, is the amount of them. There are more and more.

But even as it might start to get more awkward, as the ghosts are appearing in more people's rooms, it will be the people up at a ridiculous time of night that catch what happens first. Regardless, everyone will realize it all at once when the radiation warning system starts going off. That alarm that comes from their comms, warning them that something is happening all around them--

It'll happen all at once. The more scientific or time-sensitive among them might understand or feel it the most - something happens to the bubble that has kept them all relatively safe. Maybe it thins, maybe it pops and returns, but this isn't at all like the little leaks of the past. It will slam into every person on the Station, and some of them might not quite be the same….

In this event, your characters are all starting to feel the break down of everything the Being had in place to protect them. If you might remember, it was discovered in the past that the 'leaks' through the time bubble were what let in the necromorphs, or changed people into ponies, or deaged them… well now? It happened all at once, not just a leak. What happened thanks to that? We know that there are multiple universes, where things for each person might be very, very different in each. After all, how can Steve Rogers be both Captain America and Johnny Storm and Curtis Everett? How can the voice of Doctor Frank-N-Furter come out of a dozen different characters?

Anyone who wishes to be effected will find their characters have changed to that of another universe's version of them! It could be the same actor in another role, or if they're a video game or animated character, a different role the voice actor has done, or even just them from another universe! (After all, how many different versions of Dracula are there? Or the movie versus the comic book versus the video game?) Was there a choice in their canon that if they had made differently, they would have turned out a completely different person? (Say, if a certain rabbit lady hadn't chosen to leave the wood~?) Perhaps a regeneration happened too soon, or too late, and certain people are a bit ahead or behind in their own time line?

Oh, they'll remember being on the Station, they'll have been here as long as they have been, but of course… they'll be living the life of this person they've changed into and remember the history and past and emotions and the personality of who they are now! They won't forget having been on the Station, but their personality certainly will have changed…

Your character will realize that everyone else has changed, but when told they to have changed, it won't make any sense. They've been this way all this time, after all. They've always been this way! …Haven't they?

This is the important part! If you don't want to change, this is actually AWESOME. It's best if there's at least one or two people who want to stick to themselves - after all, they get to experience the insanity first hand. Gryf will remain as she is, so there will be definitely one person who isn't changing if no one else will.

This will begin on July 13th (Monday) and run until the end of the month! After which we will be beginning a major plot push! If you think this is the beginning of the end, you have no idea…. :3

Questions, as always, can be answered below, and plotting is also available below!

The Being gave a Gift to all of those who came to witness her existence within the now vanished Section 5 - all but three of those have been marked. The mark consists of a perfect white edge of a circle, almost like a scar, in the center of their palms, but what the mark symbolizes is a mystery. Each marked person feels something within them, and to look at the circle and focus on it produces a faint rainbow sheen that moves around the edge like oil on a puddle. That something within? Well, no one has looked too hard to find out.

Then, one morning (or so says the clocks), something strange appears in one of the corridors. It might seem like a play of light, or a figment of the imagination, but as one focuses on it, it seems to become something more real. The outlines of someone, something, walking down the hall. If it is followed, though? It becomes something more solid and while the face of the being is unable to be focused on, it has a somewhat humanoid body but it definitely has some sort of tail swaying back and forth. What might be the one thing that someone picks out above all else? It seems to be wearing a very, very familiar jumpsuit.

And then it vanishes, as if it didn't exist. A ghost. Then, the next day, it happens again... and it happens somewhere else as well. From an otherwise empty room, steps another ghost, then heads down the corridor. And then it happens somewhere else, and another place, and another...

With each passing day, it seems something else gets added and as time passes, the ghosts become more solid until they almost could be solid, yet they never quite get any more 'real' than that. They are impossible to touch and respond to no interaction at all as if the real people on the Station don't exist.

You may feel free to play your characters witnessing any typical day-to-day actions of the crew of the Station. The races will be Botharians for the majority, but any sort of species are able to be witnessed. If you remember the people that were there when the Station and Bothaious were attacked, more than just the crew were on board, so you may witness visitors as well. The ghosts will pause at doorways as if waiting for the doors to open, then walk through the closed doors. They will interact with things that are broken - if it is the lifts, they will vanish from where they would have gotten up on the lifts and reappear where they would have gotten off.

Walking through a ghost will not only send a chill down your spine, but for all players marked by the Being, Jack Harkness, and the two Doctors, they will feel a pulse within them (hands for the marked players, everywhere for the other three). The latter three will recognize the feeling of time displacement - and as the month continues, it will only get worse.

Things are starting to go wrong.

Good luck, players.

Argh, sorry. Think I'm going to have to drop Vic: it's not the game, you guys are lovely and wonderful and thank you so much for putting up with me, I just can't seem to feel confident about his tags at all.

Again, thank you for the welcome, and sorry to bother you.

Hello, kids! So, we've been batting around the idea for a while of the potentially risky Field Trip into Section 5, and I wanted to get that plotted and started, now that we're all back from the holidays.

For the newcomers (and Jack will announce this to everybody so that even brand new people can get in on this if they would like to): You will notice on the Station Map that Section 5 is completely closed up, we don't know anything about it, no power, it's dark on the map, you name it.

We're pretty sure that this is where Jack and Celena managed to get inside of during the Trip To The Past event. Now, problems being that there is no power, and no life support. But, we've got two possible points of entry, either trying where Section 5 connects to Section 1 (also without much life support), or through the path to Section 5 from the Center Section thanks to Zero!Jack clearing the way (which I will continue to backtag because I am a horrible person.)

How do we get in? At one point, it was proposed that Celena could use her portals to get in, Sylvar, if you are down for that, I think that would be the most inclusive option to let lots of people in to explore. Option B is Jack doing a blind teleport using his vortex manipulator, but I've been informed there is a percent chance of rematerializing inside of a wall and insta-dying if I try that (Not that that would stop Jack...)

So, thoughts, opinions, who wants in, should we form a Battle Buddy system? How do we want to do this because I really really wanna know what's in there.

Most of you guys have probably seeing this coming, but I'm going to go ahead and let Chekov go. I thought that by having him younger would help out, but I think over it's just not working. I did enjoy working with you guys and I appreciate the help you were trying to give me. I hope to still some of you on plurk and in other games.

Hello everyone!

I go by Kibs, and I'm completely new to this game! I'll be bringing in Balthier from Final Fantasy XII, also known as Fran's other half. Like Fran, he's a sky pirate and is therefore very interested in rare treasures or anything valuable one might have. He is witty, charismatic, and egotistical if referring to himself as the "leading man" is anything to go by. He's taken from post-game, after he and Fran manage to get back his beloved ship, the Strahl, from the others.

If you need to get in contact with me for any reason, please feel free to message me on this journal, or add me on plurk at [plurk.com profile] penpoints!

I'm excited to be here, and look forward to playing with all of you!!

Hey guys. I'm heading out of the country for a trip with my family over Thanksgiving and will not have Internet access. So! I'll be on hiatus from 11/22 - 11/30. For ongoing, time-sensitive threads:

Bertie can be assumed to be a useless sort of lump with the search group on Bothaious. He is The Most Civilian Tourist, friends. Sorry Celena is nice and you got stuck with him. If they happen to meet up with the trio who woke up on Bothaious before I get back, you can assume, he's too mortified to really speak with three naked men just appearing with monster geckos on their tails.

John I'm hoping to incapacitate for a time thanks to the monster geckos. Irrisia and Squisse, I hope that's okay. I don't want to slow you guys down, so I thought just having John get knocked out in any fighting would solve the problem of having to work around him.

So, there's been an offer on the house I currently live in, as well as the end of semester crunch for projects, holiday schedule at the mall and whatnot. I'm gonna be hiatused for the next month or so, because of that. (11/19 to 12/19)

Hello again. This is Ally returning once more. I'm going to go ahead and give Chekov another shot this time as his younger self back when he was a Lieutenant and navigator. I'll have a post up some point tonight/tomorrow of his intro!

For those who don't have it my plurk is Magicalmemories and my Aim is Ravenpaw99. I look forward to playing with you guys again.

Another newbie!

Hello, my name's Lain, or Squissie, I go by either, and I play Daken. He's one of Wolverine's kids and, naturally, he's disgruntled, cunning, and kind of a jerk.

He mostly has his dad's abilities, but he does have one that may affect your character (or may not!). He can sense and control pheromones. With these he can make people feel both emotions and attraction. He also uses them to become somewhat of an empath, able to basically smell the emotions that someone is giving off. It's been established that this is limited to breathing human beings, off the top of my head this excludes any Hulks, alien races, vampires, zombies, you get the idea. So, can he use this on your character?

He's also extremely flirtatious, and he really doesn't care whether his target is male, female or even human, so if that's not okay just lemme know.

The best place to reach me is on plurk @ squissie. I can't wait to throw him at people :3

Hullo, hullo! Terri here again bringing you a second character who is supremely more competent than Bertie. Here we have Dr. John Watson from the BBC's Sherlock. He's a modern version of everyone's favorite sidekick to the world's only consulting detective. I'm pulling him from several months after the end of Series 2, which means for him, his best friend is dead and he's grieving. Not many of my icons show it at the moment, but he has grown a very handsome mustache that he's a bit partial to.

Men get strange ideas into their heads when they're grieving. Looking forward to throwing him at everybody!

Hello there, new game! I'm Irrisia, and I am (excitedly) bringing you one Victor Mancha, teenage cyborg and the less-famous son of Ultron. He is also a ridiculous Avengers fanboy, although his history has maybe soured him a little on that one. Waking up in space is going to be a little strange, but not actually totally weird for him. Waking up in space/the past/other dimensions is basically superhero 101, after all.

(It should be mentioned Vic is a walking superhero wiki, and will basically know a little about anything Avengers related, although from a 616 perspective. I notice there's a couple of MCU characters on the taken list, so please do let me know if it's okay if Vic recognises names/power sets.)

I'm around on plurk as [plurk.com profile] errata, although mostly what I do on there is ramble about comics and things no-one cares about. I'm open to PPs and PMs for planning purposes, though.

I'm really sorry, I have been trying to keep things going here but I don't think I can. I'm going to drop all of my current threads here, my responses haven't been great and I have been pushing myself to keep going when its obvious I shouldn't. I might bring someone else over who is more suited for this kind of environment but for right now I need to take a step back.

Thank you everyone for threading with me and having wonderful CR. I loved interacting with people and freaking them out with magic.

Love Always Leaves a Tally Mark

Basics:

Who: Everyone who has ever felt love, for anyone.
When: Starting October until ???
Summary: For every time love has touched a person's soul, it leaves a mark. So what if those marks were visible to everyone?

Details:

There it is again, that feeling of something happening across the Station. The sensors go off - the ones outside of the Station signalling first (oddly, very specifically over Section 2, almost over Section 1) followed by the internal ones - alerting everyone's comms.

Yet... at first, nothing seems to have happened. No one is a pony, no new comms on the map. So what is going on? People who are wearing short sleeves (or no sleeves at all) will be the first to figure it out, as soon as they look on their wrists.

There, across the skin, visible through glamours and furs, are marks. Tally marks, to be specific. They might be black like a permanent marker, crimson like a scratch, white of an old scar, or even worse, an open slice. They're in neat rows with a slash across for every five, just like tally marks on a page.

...What are they?

The marks of love. For every time you have loved, there is a tally. Family love, romantic love, old loves, current loves... but how do you know? Because when you touch your fingertips over a mark, there's something very subtle that reminds you of that person. Maybe it's a faint whiff of their perfume, but when you breathe in again, you smell nothing. A breath of their laughter, but when you stop to listen, you hear nothing. A glimpse of their eyes in your mind's eyes, but then it drifts away.

...But why are the tally marks different?

Because they stand for different things.

Black: A past love. One that you have loved and it is in your past. You both went on your own ways, or you haven't spoken to a family member you were once very close to and the love has faded.
Red: A current love. Someone you currently love, close bonds. Someone you deeply love. Anyone could fall into this category - and it will not fall into the next category if you don't know if they love you, yet.
Open: A love that was never returned. Not a crush, nothing so simple. Someone you truly felt love for that wasn't returned. A family member or a partner or someone who never even knew you loved them could easily be this.
Scar: A dead love. The person who you loved has died. Again, family or partner.

...Will they come off?

Nope. ...Well, not all of them. There is one way to remove... most of them. Attempting to slice them off, burn them off, etc, will only result in them returning over now-scarred skin.

...Can the open ones become--

Staving that off. The open ones don't become infected, they don't bleed, and strangely enough, don't even seem to get dirty.

...Can the marks change?

Oh, they certainly can. A black mark could turn into a scar if somewhere back home, a loved one has passed on. You will gain a red mark if you fall in love with someone now.

...Can other people see them?

They certainly can.

I'm so sorry, guys, but I'm dropping Aeryn. I really feel bad about this, since I just joined, but I apped at a rough RP time for me and was never really able to recover after my hiatus. You guys are awesome and I hope to play with you all in the future.

After a lot of thought and dithering, I'm going to be hanging up Mordin's labcoat. It's been a lot of fun to play with you all but I think I've exhausted everything I want to do with him here. I'll most likely be back later with another character but I got some canon review to finish.

Y'all know how to find me on plurk, and I'll see you around.

Hi All, Let me say I've enjoyed this game and everyone I've played with. I've been having a lot of trouble with my tagging mojo, and unfortunately looking at where life is going? I don't know that I'd get it back if I just took a hiatus. So, Alex is heading away from the Station. I hope you all have fun, and stay wonderful.
