[GAME EVENT #3] -- [OOC Information]

This Event Begins March 15th and runs to the end of the month.

It seems, with a strange new object brought on board, that something has gone terribly, terribly wrong...

This is a very different kind of event to the last one's we've had. You may 'opt out' but it will be in a somewhat unconventional way because how wide-scale this event is. As this is a HORROR EVENT, be prepared to have your characters possibly suffer greatly, both mentally and physically, or even have your characters die. Please remember that death is NOT permenant in our game, due to reasons that will eventually be discovered, but it will take the loss of a memory from your character.

Below in the comments, we ask that anything you would NOT wish to have done to your character be written out so that we mods know what we can and cannot do. This is drama/horror/death based, but nothing sexual will be done what so ever, so you don't need to worry about that. If you tell us we are allowed to go hog-wild, we will do so.

BELOW IN THE COMMENTS:, write 1) if you are opting out 2) any restrictions you wish 3) On a scale of 1 to 5, how much you'd like the mods to mess with your character.

Players will be able to take control of the enemy as they wish in their threads, but mods will occassionally come into threads to take control. There will be no master event IC post like the past events - everyone is encouraged to start their own thread with whatever they were doing and how they get involved.

Do not involve players who opt out. We will have a special way of handling that - they will be safely (accidentally) locked into a 'clean' section of the station to do as they wish until the event is over.

-----------------------------

Something has definitely gone wrong on the Station.

It happens slowly at first, but the Power is going haywire in certain areas. The first to fall is the Medical Bay. Then the lights going out into the Central Hub. Bit by bit.

Then come the sounds. Like nails on metal, dragging in the vents, through the ceiling. Gone so fast, by the time someone looks, turns around, it's gone.

The light goes out.

The attack comes with an inhuman scream.

Run.

-----------------------------

The Station is infested with Necromorphs. Fast, deadly creatures that will rip anything living they come apart. They move through the vents, the ceiling shafts, the lift shafts, anywhere they can get without taking the larger halls. They'll drop down into anywhere they can. They are utter, inhuman monsters.

Worse, the object brought onto the Station by our Dead Ship explorers? The longer it remains, the stronger its effect becomes. The effect? It will whisper into the minds of the living around it. It wants to expand itself. It wants to find more minds to feed on. It will turn your fears into reality before your eyes.

(For an example, watch this vid. Shouldn't be a big spoiler but I warn you it IS gruesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54TJVRR9cIM )

The dead seem return to life, and when they can't gently sweet talk you into taking your own life? They'll force it. Except it's all a lie, it lies all in your mind, thanks to the Marker.

Good luck, players.

1) I'm in
2) I'm...decent with anything, just don't pull any limbs off and stay away from the mouth and eyes. L-like, don't pull teeth out or shove things into the eyes
3) As long as it doesn't touch on the restrictions, have at it. C:

Edit: Dislocation is okay, but full-fledge ripping limbs off and leaving it like that is not.

Feel free to have them try their utmost to get to 'Vadum. Physically that may be difficult however, this is a Sangheili who fought his way through a ship full of flood and made it out the other side after all.

I am fine with ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING. Crank up the gore, crank up the psychological fuckery, if you need a more expansive list of Thing Jack Has Issues With to choose from, there's a lot. Annnd, well, you weren't kidding, good luck, Jack and Bruce making it through this one unscathed.

Man you don't even have to do too much to get Quinn quaking in his flip flops. I'm cool with most things, just like, not long torturous deaths or anything for this guy. His resolve isn't the best.

Leave his head alone. His brain is already damn near swiss cheese, and I'm gonna have his imaginary friend come back to torment him. You can rip every part of his body to shreds, but leave his head alone. THAT. IS. MINE.

A smart man protects his head.

A wise man protects the head on his shoulders.

Oh I am excited for this.

1. I'm in
2. I want to handle the revelation of M'gann's true form myself, but besides that anything goes. As a Martian I'll add that Fire is particularly scary
3. 5

Mmm, question. Does this mean that the next round of refugees will be appearing just post-attack, or are they getting dropped in the middle of all this?
lessandmorethanhuman: (Not a happy-fun-type-of-guy)

[personal profile] lessandmorethanhuman 2013-03-17 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
1.) Totally in
2.) This type of thing is already so similar to what Alex's dealt with, he's well-equipped to fight and research this, so I'm happy with things happening. No death early, but then--he's hard to kill. I posted some specific questions above, so that'll tell me what restrictions, if any, I'm putting on him--but I'm happy to work with mods. *evil grin*
3.)4-5, pending restrictions.

1) I'm always in, baby.
2) Nah, have at it.
3) 10. Honestly, Tony should suffer for being so talented, smart AND good looking.

1) Go hard or go home.
2) None. I'm horrid to my characters and this will be no different.
3) 5+ ie: is that all you got?
